What is an ERP? (Enterprise Resource Planning)
An ERP is an integrated management system for companies. Its main feature is that it is made up of different modules which are integrated into a single application. Each module belong to a different area: production, sales, purchasing, logistics, accounting, project management, inventory control and warehouse, orders, among others. The integration of all these parts define an ERP.
In this way, an ERP system integrates everything needed for the business processes operation. We cannot say that ERP only integrates one part of the business processes. The very definition of ERP indicates the need for the "Availability of all information for everyone at any time".
